New Temporary Principal - Chamberlain School/Arden T. Litt

The Board of Trustees for The Horizon School Division is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Terryn Gutfriend as the new temporary principal of Chamberlain School and Arden T. Litt Centre for Learning commencing February 1, 2024, and concluding April 6, 2024. Terryn has stepped into the temporary role of principalship to cover the period between the departure of Amber Kallen and the return of Jaimie Van Ham.

Ms. Gutfriend has been with the Horizon School Division for the past ten years teaching various subjects predominantly in grades 6 through 9. During her time at Chamberlain School and Arden T. Litt her roles have included Teacher, Vice Principal, Assistant Principal and Acting Principal. Ms. Gutfriend’s education includes a combined Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Education, majoring in Biology, Chemistry
and Mathematics, from the University of Lethbridge. She has also completed her LQS certification.

Terryn and her husband live on an acreage outside of Burdett with their three daughters. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, camping, gardening, watching movies and being active outdoors. Her days are often full as she drives her daughters to after-school activities and takes them on fun adventures.
