Amber Kallen
Coordinator of Learner Services
Amber has a combined Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Education, majoring in English with a CTS minor and a specialization in Early Childhood Education from the University of Lethbridge. Ms. Kallen also acquired LQS certification through the U of L.
Amber has been a Teacher with the Horizon School Division since 2009 and has taught all grade levels from K-12. Amber has 8 years of elementary experience teaching at Vauxhall Elementary and Taber Mennonite School, before the transition of the Taber Mennonite School to D.A. Ferguson Middle School and W.R. Myers High School.
Amber has experience as a learning support teacher and most recently as the administrator at Chamberlain and Arden T. Litt. Center for Learning. Amber is an active member of the local ATA and is currently the Professional Development Chair.
Amber enjoys skiing, camping and going on road trips with her husband and two children and they are always looking for a new adventure. Amber is an active member of the Taber community and is an active board member of the Vipers Swim Club and volunteers as a coach for various sports for her children. Amber’s hobbies include baking, swimming, and reading great books.
Amber looks forward to engaging with parents and staff within the Horizon School Division by helping set all students up for success. She is passionate about lifelong learning and helping students of all ages realize their own potential for growth.
