Horizon School Division Welcomes
New Taber Central Elementary School Principal David LeGrandeur
April 1, 2019
Horizon School Division No. 67 is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. David LeGrandeur as Principal of Taber Central Elementary School commencing with the 2019-2020 school year.
David, currently the Principal of Warner School, has been a member of Team Horizon, for the past five years. He states that through his varied career experiences he has learned that a strong foundation in literacy and numeracy are critical components of a learning environment that fosters student engagement and success. As well, he has learned the importance of communicating with students and their families. As a principal David has worked hard on establishing strong relationships, with all stakeholders, in order to create a well-rounded, student-centred, educational environment where learners and educators are empowered.
David says he and his wife Jen have “two terrific children, Braigh and Oliver.” In their spare time, with weather permitting, they love taking their dog Ozzie for a walk and chasing their children from rink to rink, the ball diamond or the golf course. David says he himself loves to play hockey and golf.
When asked how he feels about his new adventure, David sates, “I am very excited to work with the students, staff and families from Central School next year. I have heard wonderful things about the community and fantastic culture at Central. I am privileged to be a part of it!”
The Board of Trustees is confident that the students, staff, and community of Taber Central Elementary School will benefit from Mr. LeGrandeur’s energetic eagerness to ensure all stakeholders are fully informed and have the opportunity to be involved in the creation of a well-rounded, student-centered educational environment.
Please join us in congratulating David on his new assignment.
