New D.A. Ferguson Middle School Vice Principal,  Kimberly Hutzul

Horizon School Division No. 67 is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Kimberly Hutzul as the new Vice Principal of D.A. Ferguson Middle School, effective the 2019-2020 school year.

Kim joined Horizon School Division No. 67 seven years ago, a few years after relocating to Taber from Saskatchewan. Throughout her career as a teacher and then grades K-9 principal (in Saskatchewan) Kim took opportunity to continue her education and successfully obtained her Special Education Certification, and a Masters of Education in Administration.

In 2012, after being at home with her children for a few years, Kim was ready to return to teaching. Her initial assignment with Horizon School Division was in the Colony Schools performing specialty testing, then she came back the following year to cover an LST leave and the year after that she accepted an opportunity at Dr. Hamman Elementary School, where she remains to date.

Kim and her husband Shawn have 3 beautiful daughters Taylor, Adison and Kaylee and in her spare time Kim likes to read, camp and relax with friends.

In speaking to her new adventure Kim states it is “time for me to write a new chapter” and says she is excited and looking forward to making D.A. Ferguson “my new second home.”
