Family Connections Receives Generous Donation

Family Connections under the Family School Liaison Program with Horizon School Division No. 67 would like to recognize Inter Pipeline for their support in providing funding to the program for three consecutive years. The following is a transcript from an interview with Mike Stevens, the Supervisor of Pipeline Field Operations BRPL, District 1- Taber, Alberta.

“Inter Pipeline is a major petroleum transportation, storage and natural gas liquids processing business based in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. We own and operate four business segments operating in western Canada and Europe. Our pipeline systems span over 7,800 kilometres in length and transport approximately 1.4 million barrels per day.”http://www.interpipeline.com/about/business-overview.cfm

“Our objective is to support community investment donations, aimed primarily at targeted charitable organizations that support the basic societal needs of food, shelter, and wellness for the vulnerable or underserved in the communities in which we operate.

The aim of funding is to provide volunteer opportunities that cultivate stronger connection between our company, staff and community,” Mike referred to Inter Pipeline’s Corporate Statement for Corporate Community Investment.

“Inter Pipeline supports a number of organizations and programs in the community, why have you chosen to support our Family Connections Program for three consecutive years?” inquired Rylee Beland, Project Coordinator for Family Connections.

Stevens responds: “Supporting children in the community is a valuable, worthwhile program to contribute to.”

[The] relationship between Inter Pipeline and Family Connections has grown over the last few years. [Family Connections] has reciprocated by volunteering with [Inter Pipeline’s] Community Investment Program for our Community Outreach Event at Taber Cornfest.”

Every year Inter Pipeline organizes a booth for youth and families at Taber Cornfest. The Inter Pipeline booth consists of tents, generous giveaways, as well as an interactive activity for youth and families to participate free of charge such as a portable climbing wall or mini golf course.
