2019 Great Kids Award Call for Nominations
Recognize a remarkable kid
As you know, the Great Kids Award recognizes children and youth for helping and changing the lives of others, and helping build stronger communities. Some of these kids have done so while experiencing extraordinary life challenges.
I am pleased to inform you that the nomination deadline has been extended to 4 p.m. on January 31, 2019.
Attached are a draft newsletter article, email and Great Kids Award logo for your use in spreading the word about the awards and nominations. More information is also available online at www.greatkids.alberta.ca. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to connect with the Great Kids Award Team at Children’s Services by phone at 780-422-2165 or by email at email@example.com
Many young Albertans become Great Kids in the face of life challenges, such as a physical or mental illness, overcoming a difficult living situation or standing up against bullying. Despite these challenges, they inspire and change the lives of others. Does this remind you of a Great Kid you know? Consider nominating them for the 2019 Great Kids Award!
Sixteen children and youth from across Alberta will be recognized at the 2019 Great Kids Award ceremony, hosted by the Alberta government. Every nominee will receive a letter and certificate of recognition for their efforts. Award winners and their families will enjoy a night’s stay at Fantasyland Hotel, a trophy from Children’s Services and a prize from a corporate sponsor at an awards ceremony in spring 2019.
Consider what it would mean to a Great Kid you know to be nominated for this award. Great Kids deserve our recognition because they are examples to all of us of what can be accomplished in the face of adversity.
