Horizon School Division Welcomes New Hays School Principal

Horizon School Division No. 67 is pleased to announce the appointment of Mrs. Tracey Nadeau as Principal of Hays School commencing with the 2017-2018 school year.

With 21 years of educational experience and vice-principal experience in Palliser School, Tracey joined Horizon in 2016-2017 as a teacher within Chamberlain School.

Tracey is passionate about rural Alberta and believes that its everyone’s role to support and engage communities. Tracey states, “I have a strong belief in the importance of developing meaningful relationships with students, staff, parents, and community members, as it is through strong healthy relationships that students feel safe to make mistakes and learn.”

A strong believer in the importance of education, Tracey is committed to enhancing community opportunities that foster student success.

Tracey has extensive experience working in multi-graded classrooms and working with English language learners and believes students must play a role in their own learning. She believes that empowering students and supporting staff is pivotal for everyone to succeed.

The Board of Trustees is confident that the students, staff, and community of Hays will benefit from Mrs. Nadeau’s passion for small communities, strong commitment to collaboration, belief in supporting every student, and her passion for offering student opportunities and providing a high quality education in a student centered environment.
