For parents/caregivers:  Modeling and Motivating Children to Learn Self-Care Skills

Parents/caregivers should model good self-care and help-seeking practices for children. It is good to reflect on ways in which we can reduce our own stress and find support for our own mental health. These may include participating in recreation activities, learning a new skill or sharing household tasks. Developing supportive relationships and seeking help from other adults can set a good example for young people.
